Legal Description of Land: FOR SALE PREVIOUSLY HUGE PRODUCING OIL & GAS LEASE, RE-WORK, RE-DRILL,SECONDARY RECOVERY POTENTIAL, ETC.
I have obtained an oil & gas lease that I've been after for many, many, years. This lease had the last producing well on the Guthries Chapel Oil Boom/Field. This well produced for 1/4 century and the equipment was recently pulled, ( unhappy landowner over that and too many details to get into here). Anyway, the lease is now mine and I'm looking for industries/partners to re drill, re-work, enhancement potential, etc..
This previously large producing lease, that is in the center of the old Guthries Field, was hit in the early 80's. According to the driller's log sent into the Ky Division of Oil & Gas, one of the wells came in at 100 bbls per hour in the Stones River formation and later drilled to the Knox where the drillers log claims the well produced 600 bbls per day. The other well, ( the one just pulled), according to the Division of Oil & Gas driller's log, shows 600 bbls per day, also in the Knox formation. Knox depth approx. 1600'+.
( Note: Ky Division of Oil & Gas disclaimer .) All info can be accessed from the Ky Geological Survey Division of Oil & Gas. ( Note usage requirement).
I'm especially looking for experienced production engineers, petroleum geologist, or someone experienced in secondary recovery, etc.. I have a property line easement agreements on all my leases that puts me within 100'+- of a well that was on the front page of the Cumberland County, Ky newspaper.(see news article). The operator claimed 1000 bbls per day production. The well had to get an easement next to the lease(s) I now own in order to be drilled that close to my lease line.( I have photos of the news article I can e-mail to you if you like.
If you are familiar with Cumberland County, you have heard of the Guthries Chapel Oil Boom, the place where I was raised, where I got into the oil business, and where I first got oil on my boots . My family cemetery is in the center of the old field, so you might say I know a tad about the area.
I'm looking for someone easy to work with and preferably seasoned professionals. I can e-mail all data that was sent into the Ky Div. of Oil & Gas. You will be responsible for all due diligence and take the lease the same way I bought it, ( as is). ( I DO NOT HAVE THE HISTORICAL PRODUCTION DATA). But, I do know there were seven 210 barrel
tanks. Also there were seven 210s on the adjoining lease + many, many, more in the area.
Very serious inquiries only. Come and look for yourself and research until your hearts content , (at your expense of course). This lease is only 35 acres but has great potential in my opinion. And especially if you have the background knowledge to work old abandoned oil fields. I'm anxious to get this baby going.
I also have 3 adj. leases for a total acreage of 115+ and with right to easement on all property lines. Plus my brother owns adj. property to the northeast. These leases don't go with this deal unless we can work out a secondary recovery deal or other types of deal that can be negotiated. The 35 acre lease once had 50,000 lb torque Churchill Pump-Jacks and 2,7/8" tubing downhole on no.1 & 3 wells, ( the largest pumpjack I've ever seen in our part of the country. Note the photo, but the jack is no longer there.( to much detail to get into here as to why). Note approx area of lease in photo ( Harold Guthrie, leasehold).
Emails are easier for me to respond to because of my busy schedule, although phone calls are okay.

Legal Description of Land: Oil & Gas Well; Shallow Murfreesboro Formation Prospect
I'm looking for an industry partner(s) to re-enter an old Murfreesboro well that, according to the drillers log sent into the KY Division of Oil & Gas and KY Geological Survey, well database came in at 65 BOPD.
This well was drilled in the Guthries Chapel area that was one of the previously largest producing fields in the early 80's in Cumberland County, KY (the area that got me into the oil business and oil on my boots). Wells on the adj. properties produced, according to news articles and drillers logs, 1000+- BOPD.
Note: I now own adj. leases that come within 100’ of this well and a lease that has two wells that, according to drillers log and info sent to the KY Division of Oil & Gas and KY Geological Survey well database (note disclaimer and usage requirements), came in on the Harold Guthrie lease well no. 1 at 100 bbls per hour in the Stones River then later drilled down to the Knox. Drillers log calling the well 600 bbls per day and well no.3 in the Knox formation 600 bbls per day total 1,200 bbls per day. Looking for persons interested in doing a gas gun (horizontal frac). Fairly inexpensive, roughly $5000 + and/or other enhanced recovery techniques). I also have a right to easement on all property lines on all adj. leases I own. (See info on the Harold Guthrie lease that is listed separately.
The well of interest is actually drilled on my parent's farm where I grew up and I currently have the oil & gas lease.
I personally saw the well flowing. The well, while still producing was E- logged and a nitrogen & acid frac was done. After that, no more oil was ever produced. I have some theories as to why). The well, according to the drillers log, was vugular porosity, so the oil should still be there (?) even though the well was offset within 10’ from actual well bore. The offset had different formation features of the original well and if you know the Murfreesboro formation as I do, you know it is notoriously hard to offset but is one of the largest and best producers with usually only one or two ever found in an entire oil field, IMO.
What I'm looking to do, is to re-enter the original well bore, drill out, clean up, and do a gas gun horizontal frac, radial jet enhancement or other horizontal drilling technique or other advanced technology.
Especially interested in persons familiar with the Murfreesboro formation and production engineers, or petroleum geologist.
Cumberland County, KY is an inexpensive place to drill with usually approx. 200'+- of 7" needed, (depending on elevation). Axis of the Cincinnati arch goes through Cumberland County. Drilling cost is approx 10 +- dollars per foot with open hole completion. The oil was encountered at approx 1475'. I can e-mail you the drillers log & e-log or give you the link so you can view all info sent to the KY Geological Survey of the whole area. (None better than the KY Geological Survey, in my opinion). Note the disclaimer though.
I will give interested parties 67.50 % total net working interest. Will work on a well to well basis but for the right person(s) and money will combine all leases, approx. 135 acres. This would be a very good area for a secondary recovery. One was started on the Harold Guthrie lease but never completed. Price $10,000 per re-entry prospect or $50,000 for all combined leases with certain stipulations imposed. Any reasonable offer or individualized deal considered. Looking to make my money predominately from oil production.
I have been in the oil & gas business for 25+ years in just about all phases of operation from the ground to the tank. I'm looking to keep everything as simple as possible. Prefer knowledgeable oil & gas persons. You'll be responsible for all legal and due-diligence. Just looking for someone who is easy to work with and is interested in producing oil. I know this info will be confusing to most and for persons unfamiliar with the Cumberland County, KY area. Come and look and evaluate for yourself. Have lots of info. Too much to get into here.

Legal Description of Land: For sale oil & gas well re-work project with 100+- acre oil lease located in Cumberland County, KY. This well has all equipment completed to the Knox formation to approx.1,535'+-. 1-210 bbl. tank, 1- 16000 lb torque Cook pumpjack, 1535' +- up-set rods & tubing, plumbing, flowline, etc.. The well, I suspect, has a small downhole problem. I suspect the downhole rod pump needs rebuilt. The well, according to the drillers log, sent into the Ky Division of Oil & Gas shows the well coming in at 35 bbls per day in the early 80's, ( I DO NOT HAVE HISTORICAL PRODUCTION DATA), and the E-log shows two breaks in the Knox. At least that's my interpretation by correlating the e-log by the drillers log.
This would be a good re-work project. The well was only pumped on occasion by a gasoline engine since the electrical was not hooked up ( but is very near). The well made oil & water. When the adj. operator acidized numerous wells on his lease, my x partner and I pumped the well to see if it had improved our well. It seem to have improved the well I suspect to around 3-5 bbls per day +- when the well broke down.
I always suspected the mud & pencil cave ( bentonite) fell in and shut the lower oil zone off and the numerous acid work from the adj. oil lease operator communicated to our well temporarily displacing the mud & pencil cave. ( Just my theory). I also suspect the water could be leaking in from underneath the casing. But there is a chance it is formation water.
I'm looking for interested industry partners or other knowledgeable oil persons to come in and clean the well out with a rotory rig and running a packer below the caves to stop suspected fall in and hopefully shutting off the water and attaching electrical with timer so the well can be pumped properly and consistently.

Price: Price & Terms: For the consideration of $18,000, I will assign you 75% net total working interest and operator-ship of the entire lease. I will hold 12.50% Royalty interest and the landowner will have 12.50% overriding royalty interest. You will own 100% of equipment ( new replacement cost would be approx $50,000+-) of course used is not as valuable.
This will be a cheap entry in an oil deal as oil deals go. Looking for persons with good old common sense and easy to work with. I have over 25 years experience in the oil patch in just about all phases of it's operation from the ground to the tank. I just need someone to take some of the work load off of me from other deals I have going. I will consider any reasonable deal. I can e-mail you all info sent into the Ky Division of Oil & Gas and e-mail you photos of the well & equipment. Please only very, very serious inquires only. You'll be responsible for all due diligence and expense. You'll own the lease the same way I bought it, ( as is). Come and look for yourself and research until your hearts content. At your expense of course. The well is not making me any money setting idle. The first reasonable offer from the right person will be accepted at my discretion..( note photos to follow) The lease also has a very small rental clause that will allow you lots of time to work the lease without having production thats a big plus.

Production Data:
Legal Description of Land: FOR SALE PREVIOUSLY HUGE PRODUCING KY. OIL & GAS LEASE, RE-WORK, RE-DRILL,SECONDARY RECOVERY POTENTIAL, ETC.
I Finally got this lease that I've been after for many, many, years. This lease had the last producing well on the Guthries Chapel Oil Boom/Field. This well produced for 1/4 century and the equipment was recently pulled, ( unhappy landowner over that and too many details to get into here). Anyway, the lease is now mine and I'm looking for industries/partners to re drill, re-work, enhancement potential, frac, etc..
But, I do know there were seven 210 barrel tanks.
Note: adjoining Calvin C. Humphrey lease hold to follow
Emails are easier for me to respond to because of my busy schedule, although phone calls are okay.

There is also one producing Wellscreek well that has been producing oil since the 80's that WILL NOT go with the lease.
